Basket Weaving

This lesson comes from the "Get Smart with Art @ the De Young" fourth grade binder (California History: Native American Culture and Westward Expansion), p. 7 - 8.

Materials needed:

-Template, cut from cardboard, tag board, or recycled cereal or thin cardboard box.
-Thick but pliable yarn, raffia, or fabric scrap cut in strips
-Feathers, beads, buttons, bottle caps, found objects
-Optional: colored masking tape
-Scissors
